How to make prospects glued to your sales copy?

There’s no point in writing a sales copy that no one is interested in, right?

After all, “How to Pull Weeds in Three Easy Steps” isn’t a real hot topic right now.

Neither is “5 Killer Strategies for Becoming a Top Ranked Blind-folded Mud Wrestler.”

The first thing you need to understand is that in order to keep folks interested in your sales copy, you’ve got to write what they are interested in.  What is the latest “hot topic”?  What is it that everyone seems to be talking about?  What are the “old pillars” that people are ALWAYS interested in (how to make money, how to find happiness, how to lose weight).

There are several easy ways to find out what all the buzz is…

1.1  Ask.  Do you already have existing contacts?  Do you currently have a newsletter mailing list?  Ask those you know, “What would you like to read about?”  Send out a quick survey with several options and have them pick what they want to know most.  Just take a few minutes and ask your existing contacts what they are interested in. This is a great tool: surveymonkey.com/

1.2  Browse.  Visit the hot forums (also known as bulletin boards or message boards) and see what everyone is talking about.  The best way to find out the “hot” topics is to see which messages have the most views and posts.  (A “view” is how many times the message has been read and “post” is how many replies / comments have been submitted to that message)  The more views and posts a message has, the “hotter” an issue it is.  People are interested!  Just search google for your keyword plus “message board” or “forum” to find some in your niche.

1.3  Read.  Subscribe to several newsletters that reach a similar target audience as you do.  What are they writing about?  What topics are covered?  What kinds of products are being advertised repeatedly? (If they are repeat ads, they are probably pulling in results - and if they are pulling in results, then people are interested!)  Grab the hot IDEAS and write your own content around the idea.
Find out what people want and then write in your sales copy.

Learn copywriting and teach yourself copywriting is simple.

    Great information in this article.

May I also suggest - that for me - Interviewing done right is the most effective way.

Not only do you find out what’s hot… but also… you find hidden desires - hidden objections - and other gems that immediately resonate deeply with your market.

I learned it here - if anybody is interested…
